Where we are on our journey to transform fundraising forever

GradRoots UX

1. What This Is

GradRoots is building the first agentic core designed explicitly for philanthropy.

Philanthropy is uniquely positioned for AI-driven innovation. It is a trust-based, relationship-driven domain where much of the operational work is repetitive, administrative, and cold—yet the outcomes are deeply human. That makes it ideal for a low-touch, human-in-the-loop model that increases efficiency without sacrificing stewardship or integrity.

Foundations and philanthropic organizations face a critical mandate: steward every donated dollar with maximum efficiency and impact.

Today, they operate on fragmented, legacy systems built for a different era. Tools like Raiser's Edge were not designed for automation, mobile engagement, or intelligent orchestration. As a result, fundraising remains labor-heavy, expensive, and administratively constrained.

GradRoots is building the AI-powered infrastructure for the future of the social safety net.

We began by replacing legacy donor management systems with an AI-native platform that:

  • Automates outreach and campaign management through agentic AI
  • Simplifies giving with modern, Venmo-like donation flows
  • Reduces cost per dollar raised by removing cold administrative burden
  • Equips boards and executives with mobile-first operational tools

We let AI handle the cold-temperature tasks—data enrichment, reminders, reconciliation, campaign orchestration—so human leaders can focus on warm-temperature work: relationships, trust, vision, and impact.

Over time, GradRoots will support the full spectrum of philanthropy—from community foundations to mutual aid networks—ensuring that civil society remains strong even as public safety nets shift or shrink.

Our mission is simple and durable:

Secure the future of giving.

One organization at a time.

3. Why We're Building This

Philanthropy is not a niche vertical. It is a core pillar of social stability.

Every scholarship awarded, every emergency grant distributed, every workforce program funded runs through systems that were designed before automation, before mobile, and long before AI.

We believe this is a structural inefficiency hiding in plain sight.

GradRoots is built on a simple premise:

If you reduce the cost per dollar raised and increase operational intelligence, you expand the effective size of the social safety net—without new legislation.

That leverage matters.

We are not building incremental tooling.

We are building the operating layer for the future of giving.

5. Our Operating Philosophy (Briefly)

GradRoots is built on a few non-negotiable beliefs:

Automation should reduce cognitive and administrative load, not add dashboards

Institutions don't lack intent—they lack modern tools

AI should augment judgment, not replace it blindly

The best platforms feel calm, obvious, and inevitable

You will see these principles reflected across product design, metrics, and governance.
